In the vibrant heart of Monte Carlo, on Thursday, April 3, art meets solidarity in an extraordinary evening dedicated to the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases in women.
As part of the charity event Sauvez cœur des Femmes, organized by Femme Leaders Mondiale under the High Patronage of Prince Albert II of Monaco and Princess Stéphanie, the artist Vova Design presents Big Heart.
Art and design, two distinct worlds linked by an invisible thread, weave here a narrative of meaning, aesthetics, and transformation.
Vova’s art fits into a contemporary movement that transcends mere aesthetic creation to embrace a deeper discourse: reuse becomes a tool for reflecting on the value of transformation, identity, and continuous evolution.
This is why Big Heart is not just an artistic object but a visual manifesto of resilience and rebirth. Made from metallic fencing, a material seemingly cold and rigid, designed to separate and demarcate, this red heart, vibrating with dynamism, becomes a symbol of renewal, embodying the cycles of life and the power of encounters that redefine its course.
The artist draws on the concept of upcycled art, transforming discarded materials into works that tell stories of renewal, much like the women this evening seeks to support by raising funds for cardiovascular care.
The choice of the heart as a subject is no coincidence: this organ, which beats to the rhythm of life, becomes here a powerful metaphor for resilience and connection. The hard, resistant metal symbolizes the difficulties and barriers life may impose, but its transformation into a pulsating red heart suggests the possibility of overcoming those obstacles, of renewing oneself, of continuing to beat despite everything.
The artwork resonates perfectly with the mission of the charity event: Big Heart is not just an aesthetic object but a symbolic statement inviting us to care for the heart, both physically and emotionally. Through his poetic vision, the artist reminds us that there is no material—whether in art or life—that cannot be transformed, regenerated, and reused to create something new and valuable.
The metallic mesh, originally intended to separate and isolate, is here reimagined as a heart that unites and welcomes. Just as art and design, two realms intertwined by an invisible thread that transcends material limits to create new connections, this piece invites reflection on the cycles of life and the encounters that shape it.
During the charity auction at the Yacht Club of Monte Carlo, Big Heart becomes the beating heart of an evening where art is transformed into concrete action, supporting a vital cause for the health and well-being of women. This artwork beats in unison with the mission of the event: to save lives and remind us that every heart has the potential to be reborn and continue beating, stronger than before.

THE ARTIST: VLADIMIR MAZZOLETTI aka VOVA DESIGN
Born and raised by the shores of Lake Como, Vladimir was surrounded from a young age by the beauty of his environment, from lush villas to treasured artworks, developing an early passion for aesthetics.
After graduating from the Giuseppe Terragni CSC Art High School in Como, with a specialization in architecture, he deepened his interest in art history and design. He continued his studies at the Aldo Galli Academy of Fine Arts – IED in Como, earning a degree in Furniture Design in 2018.
During his studies, he contributed to projects promoting Italian design as part of Italian Language Week in the World, an initiative supported by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Italian Consulate in Shanghai.
Following a professional experience in London, he returned to Italy and exhibited some of his works at Fuori Salone in Milan and Vinitaly in Verona. With his creation Desert Star, a modular hexagonal seat presented at HOMI in Milan, he participated in Expo 2020 in Dubai, having been selected in a design competition. His exhibition in Dubai led to a collaboration offer from the prestigious ARCHEA & Associati architecture firm in Florence, where he worked until late 2022.
In 2023, he organized several solo exhibitions, including:
• Forme e Colori in Menaggio, Lake Como, alongside artist Fausto Terruzzi, presenting a striking contrast between design works and paintings through the interplay of shapes and colors.
• Art and Life, a solo exhibition in Livigno, one of Italy’s highest-altitude towns, where his works stood in sharp contrast to the wooden interiors of the venue and the fresh whiteness of the snow.
• A second edition of Art and Life in Bormio, during the renowned Easter show, where an old mill was transformed into a captivating space for art and interactive activities.
In 2024, Vladimir’s art took flight in Dubai, with a standout participation in World Art Dubai (May 2-5). A few weeks later, he won the Under 35 competition with his Galaxy bookshelf during Genoa Design Week.
